Girl Gang Manchester is a collective of artists, activists, academics and party instigators!

Since 2016, we have been connecting people over debates, discussions and dance floors. Our events include immersive screenings, experiential exhibitions, creative club nights, theatre, online projects, workshops, book clubs, support groups and zines.

“Girl Gang Manchester is where popular culture and female empowerment collide”

Creativity, Community, Collaboration & Connection

We believe that everyone is an artist, popular culture can be profound and politics and feminism are for everybody.

Foregrounding the talents, interests, ideas, issues and friendships of women and marginalized genders, our projects are an opportunity for both our artists and audiences to connect on an equal level to shine, skillshare and try new things.

“Aside from the excellently executed theme, I found something I’d not expected. A sense of belonging. Girl Gang seems to be a place that friendship is fostered.”

Purveyors of Organised Fun!

From braless midnight pillow fights, to mass interview projects, multi-media exhibitions and cross art form theatre experiences, Girl Gang have been making magic with and for audiences from 16-80 since 2016.

“My highlight has to be singing and dancing my heart out to Chaka Chan’s ‘I’m Every Woman’ at the end of the night with a bunch of lovely women who I have never met before.”
